18 Aug 2006 The UN refugee agency calls on the Sri Lanka government and the rebel Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) to urgently allow humanitarian aid workers access to people cut off by fighting between the rivals. UNHCR also wants the foes to permit freedom of movement to all civilians displaced by the conflict. -
