19 Jul 2005 More than 6,000 ethnic Muslims from Myanmar are living in risky and squalid conditions on river flats in Cox's Bazar district, vulnerable to seasonal high tides and flooding. A joint initiative including UNHCR recently visited them after months of urging the Bangladesh government to move them to safer ground.
