African Union team finds Togolese refugees well integrated in Ghana
26 May 2005 A high-level African Union mission to assess the situation of Togolese refugees in Ghana has found the recent arrivals living harmoniously among the local community in the border area. The delegation has donated US$30,000 to the Ghanaian government to help with the refugee programme. -

2 May 2005 The number of people fleeing insecurity in post-election Togo has risen to more than 16,500, some of them citing harassment by security forces. More than 2,000 have been moved to camps further inland in Benin, while those in Ghana are crossing back home to work in the daytime.
