24 Apr 2003 The UN refugee agency has raised concerns about the deportation of more than 100 Colombians from Panama. More than half of the Colombian deportees were children, while some Colombian mothers were forced to leave their Panama-born children behind. -
UNHCR concerned about hundreds displaced near Venezuela-Colombia border
1 Apr 2003 Recent clashes between Colombia's irregular armed groups in the border zone have driven hundreds of people out of their homes in the Rio de Oro area of north-western Venezuela. UNHCR is working to send an assessment team there as soon as possible. -
